Chapter 78-79: I play by myself

“Where am I?!”

I -Kuromiya Haine- was separated from the group and was feeling lonely.

We found an entrance to the underground at the middle of the desert. Advancing there, we encountered a mysterious shadow.

I was unexpectedly having a tough battle against this guy that is using my name without my permission, and fell down here with it, but…this place are the remains of an ancient city underground.

“It is okay to consider this the Dark Underworld Country, right?” (Haine)

Even if I call it a city, there’s already not a single person living here.

The buildings have crumbled, and because they have been buried deep underground, these ruins have barely managed to avoid weathering.

Just like in that poem, did they really fall into ruin because they worshipped the Dark God?

“Or more like, did they really worship me?” (Haine)

The Dark God that was sealed 1,600 years ago and hadn’t done anything at all?

But that shadow…this mysterious being that calls itself the Dark God Entropy has proved that it has some sort of connection with me and this city.

Until I solve what this connection is about in detail, I can’t just leave.

“What’s this feeling…as if I was told that a baby of mine had been born without me even knowing?” (Haine)

In reality, for a God, believers must be that kind of existence.

If I was told there were, I would feel my self-awareness as a God born inside of me.

“…Anyways, for now, I should prioritize regrouping with Karen-san and Yorishiro.” (Haine)

I ended up separating from them in the chaos of that fall after all.

I was jostling against that shadow in the middle of it, but it escaped.

And so, that’s how I am currently all by my lonesome self.

If I don’t regroup with Karen-san and Yorishiro soon, I might collapse from loneliness.

“But how should I look for the two of them?” (Haine)

From within my baggage, I take out something that looks like a short stick, and turn on the switch of it.

When I did that, it released a shining light.

It is a pocket light that functions with ethereal energy. Ethereal is an incredibly useful energy source. This flashlight apparently doesn’t need to be exchanged for a new one for at least 20 years.

In terms of lighting, I can rely on the hero and Founder of the Light Church, but I am truly glad that I actually brought it with me just in case.

It doesn’t hurt being prepared.

I choose whichever building is the highest among them and climb to the top of it, and from there, I swing around the flashlight here and there.

I feel like I might call something else at the same time though.

“I wonder if those two will come.” (Haine)

I feel like they won’t.

It was just my instincts talking here but, I was close to being sure that was the case.

In the first place, if they wanted to, they would have been able to release a light that’s several times stronger than this flashlight.

If they are not lighting up in this pitch black place -not even a firefly level of light- it must mean that they are trying to hide themselves.

—They are probably cautious of the shadow.

—They are not going to regroup with me until I defeat that shadow.

“They are really strict girls.” (Haine)

Then, I should continue using this flashlight.

The shadow eats light to get bigger, so it has the tendency of heading towards light craving for it.

The reason it was waiting for us at that hall must have been because it detected the light that Karen-san was releasing from the holy sword, and came rushing towards it.

And even if it’s an artificial light that has no divine power, there’s enough possibility that it will be lured by it and once again appear in front of me.

But, do I have to swing this flashlight the whole time until it comes?

‘That would tire my arm, what a pain’, is what I was thinking when…

“Uo?!”

My footing suddenly crumbled and, just like that, I make a direct drop.

The building that I was using as footing had collapsed. I slide down along with the rubble and was about to be buried alive.

“That was dangerous!” (Haine)

As expected of ruins that have deteriorated after several centuries without any humans living in it; once you get a bit rough on it, things like this occur.

“Or more like, am I not damaging a legacy here? I have harmed an asset of human history…” (Haine)

At the moment when I was fearing what I had done, something appeared that wasn’t destroyed when the building crumbled. It towered over its surroundings without breaking.

“What is that?” (Haine)

Was this something that was inside that building?

It was a single slab that seems to have fallen vertically and has a simple construction; it’s made of stone…no, it looks like a mineral of fine quality that has slight transparency.

What is this thing that is colorful in all its body and overwhelms anyone that looks at it?

“A monument?” (Haine)

I thought that way because of the writings carved at the surface of it.

Was the building something made to protect this monument from the wind and rain? Or was it to hide it from someone?

“…..I can read it.” (Haine)

I use the flashlight to check the surface of the monument, and trace it to the writings carved there.

The language utilized is -obviously- completely different from the one currently used, and yet, for some reason, the -how should I call it- soul that was carved together with that writing was telling me its meaning.

The soul that was filled with anger and hate.

What was carved in this monument was…the history of when the Underworld Country was created, and its fall.

  • 79: Bellow

According to this monument, this whole place called ‘Nameless Desert’ was once a fertile land filled with water and green.

The people that lived the first period of humanity didn’t know about the techniques to go against nature and weren’t able to control nature either; it was truly a repetition of becoming one with nature by living and dying.

The one who brought change to this was the appearance of a single human.

The curves of human history have always been brought by the genius of a prominent individual.

Just like how it was in that time; that person had more knowledge than the others, and with that person’s wise decision making, many new techniques were created, rules were made, and created a group of people that were organized by leadership.

It didn’t take long for it to become the framework of society.

The place that had this completed framework was the Underworld Country.

It was probably the first nation in this world.

The Underworld Country, in order to bring together the heart of the people that live there, a certain measure was created.

A God.

Believe in the same God and worship it. With that common point, it created a sense of camaraderie between the people, made them cooperate with each other to win against difficulties, and had them share the fruits of that victory.

The God that was worshipped by the Underworld Country as their religion, that is the Dark God Entropy.

* * *

“It really is me?!” (Haine)

I couldn’t hold back my confusion after seeing my own name carved clearly on this monument.

So it was real. A Dark God actually existed in the history of humans.

But, I was sealed for 1,600 years and hadn’t done anything at all to show anyone of my existence so, how did they even learn of me?

Will that answer appear as I continue reading on?

* * *

At any rate, the Underworld Country was certainly primitive, but it still walked onto the path of a nation.

With the cut stones, they create houses, and secure a safe place to sleep in; by plowing the land in the surroundings, they can harvest crops from the cultivated land; resting one day out of the several days of work, they head to the church, offer their prayers to the Dark God, and confirm once again their own affiliation.

This living cycle that had been made distinct increased the efficiency, increased the productivity, increased the birthrate, and raised the worth of humans.

The wealth began to spread to other places, and the Underworld Country had grown into a huge community that was big enough to cover the whole ‘Nameless Desert’.

On top of that, according to this monument, this leap in progress was surprisingly accomplished in the time a single human was alive.

The prodigy that appeared at the origin of the Underworld Country.

A wondrous existence that appeared out of who-knows-where, provided them with techniques and principles, and boosted the humans, that were basically just one type of animal, into an intelligent form of life.

That human obviously became the representative of the Underworld Country, stood at the top of society, governed them, and led them.

The name of that human was Izanami.

Izanami was the queen of the Underworld Country.

She preached about the kindness of the Dark God Entropy that had created humans.

Darkness is abyss; from there, everything was born. The ruler of darkness Entropy is the one who created the whole world, and the humans are its children.

Entropy provided night and sleep for the sake of the humans, and advised them to rest whenever they are tired.

The people of the Underworld Country were grateful of Entropy, and offered their prayers.

They also were grateful for their queen Izanami and praised her.

The Dark God and the Wise Queen.

These two factors developed the Underworld Country without any grave errors, and it became an Utopia that would last for millenniums to come…..or at least that’s what it was supposed to be.

* * *

“But…”

I continued reading the monument.

What was written next was about the end of the Underworld Country.

* * *

Invaders appeared in the peaceful Underworld Country.

The humans outside were jealous of the wealth of the Underworld Country, envied it, and went there to steal it.

Of course, the people of the Underworld Country fought in self-defense.

The ones defending were the current nation that had progressed the most in the world; even if they were called invaders, there was no way to lose against these group of people that were on the level of bandits that had barely grown.

But, the barbarians weren’t the only ones who attacked them.

Disasters that can’t be brought by humans…in other words, natural disasters were attacking the Underworld Country in succession.

As if conspiring with the attack of the barbarians.

The first were locusts; these insects that appeared from the sky were in the several thousands, and when they were right under the crops, they would fly towards it and eat it all.
Next, was a plague. This deathly disease that flowed in the city from the water had spread in the blink of an eye from people to people, killing old people and the children, and also robbing away the life force of the young ones.
On top of that, acid rain fell. It was different from normal rain. These fire rain that smelled rotten melted the stone-made buildings and devastated the once beautiful cityscape.
And in the end, the earth slowly turned into sand, and the once fertile land of the Underworld Country was slowly eroded.

Many disasters befell the Underworld Country, the people and wealth was laid waste, and there was already nothing to steal from them, and yet, the barbarians continued attacking the Underworld Country.

Along with the swinging of axes, jeers rang on.

‘This is the just retribution of God. You heretics that revered an evil God will now fall’, is what they shouted.

The locusts, disease, acid rain, and the desert; was this all a punishment brought by God?

Don’t joke around.

A God wouldn’t do something like that. A God would only watch over the humans in silence. Deciding just and evil on their own convenience and handing down punishment on their whim, that’s not the deed of a God.

You barbarians; the God that you guys worship is the actual evil God.

Interfering with the living of humans, defeating the ones who should win, have the ones that should lose win, distorting the course of history; that’s exactly what an evil God is.

Therefore, I will destroy all of you, and also the four evil Gods that you serve for.

Our God, the Dark God Entropy, wouldn’t put its hands in a fight of humans as the authentic God it is.

But, if you are not going to hand down any punishment against these four evil Gods that have broken this law…

I will become the Dark God Entropy.

And erase all evil.

* * *

“!!!”

This is where the writings on the monument end.

But at the last parts, the several lines at the end, were not shown visually; they were probably made from the raging emotions of the person that created the inscriptions in this monument and were stored just like that in it.

The person that created this monument probably made it at the destruction of the Underworld Country, in order to show their existence.

Not long after, everyone was killed, and the Underworld Country turned into dust and disappeared from history. But, if someone were to transmit the contents of this monument as evidence and understands it, it will serve as proof that they certainly did exist in the past.

This is probably the reason why it was hidden in a building that would soon crumble. The invaders that attacked the Underworld Country will eventually erase the history of the defeated and destroy the monument. In order to avoid that, this was the desperate measure taken in order to hide it from the eyes of the invaders.

“So this is the rise and fall of the Underworld Country…” (Haine)

It was a grander history than I expected.

But, even with this, what occurred in this land was not told in its entirety.

      1. And then Karen would go “no fair, me first!”.
But Yorishiro replies “Well, let’s let him choose then. But remember I need to be married first to marry both of us.”.
Then Haine goes “hey, wait, I never agreed to any of this!”
So Yorishiro goes “Well it’s my apology to you.”
And then Haine goes “…Just forget it. And put some clothes on.”
And then both Karen and Yorishiro go “Just as planned♥”

Even without Entropy knowing, his church was still best church. Dat Izanami tho…

And seriously, those humans evolve so fast. Rise of the first civilization within a single lifetime?
Creating personal flying machines and flashlight batteries that last 20+ years, after only 1600 years?

      1. That genius inventor twisted up the whole natural progression, if you think about it. They went from discovery of Ethereal to lamps and flashlights, home appliances, and then straight to flying machines, the cars may have been developed afterward by hipsters for all we know. Can you imagine if they just skipped trucks altogether?

      2. This is why we can’t have nice things.

No trucks except in worlds that can’t just skip that technological development.

…Eh? Does that mean that the presence of Truck-san is a sign of a primitive/low quality world?

You might see him by the sea shore sellin-…eating seashells…..errr…..fly by the sea, I mean….

Yes I’m just pissed off here so don’t mind me
Anyway Thanks for the chap ~

    1. :sigh: If only Haine had the ability to destroy other gods but that doesn’t seem to be the case. I’m thinking since it’s been hinted that a God’s power rises with devoted believers he may develop the ability down the road but for some reason it feels like the author doesn’t have the intentions of letting any of the Gods be destroyed.

      1. I’m hoping for something even better. I wanna see the humans grow to the point that they develop a weapon capable of seriously hurting gods. That would be the ideal scenario, I think.

Well, that aside, if Inflation doesn’t fight him again, then Entropy could certainly subdue them when he returns to the god’s realm at the end of Haine’s life. It would be best to build up their relationship while they’re still alive.

And that’s why, Haine, please have a baby with her. For humanity.

    1. Izanami is one of only two Japanese names in this story, she was probably Inflation herself, but I think it was likely one of the more devout followers that became the shadow, and erected that monument. The followers of Entropy in that country were probably, ironically, very attuned to the power of light.

      1. Normal humans are made of a collection of the 6 elements, but for divine powers to manifest, they need the gods to empower them further. A goddess was living among them for who knows how long, they probably gathered some of her light, is what I meant.

        Liked by 4 people

      2. Yeah. It’s more out of necessity since Izanami(Inflation) certainly couldn’t teach them to use an element she herself couldn’t control.

Luckily, Light can probably emulate Darkness decently enough.

  4. Thx for the Chappy ~!

Goodness, those four gods are evil, really evil.
Those hum-…barbarians too, all idiots. Gods should not have intervene with humans and the gods that intervene are the actual evil ones. Idiots that can’t think for themselfs.
The underworld even give out many things for the world and this is how they repay them; by Destroying them and Erase them from history.
    Haaaa….

Sorry about that, can’t stand idiots that are taking advantage of the good will of others.

Anyway, I guess Izanami IS Inflation, she was trying to make the people/humans known of the Dark god Entropy existence to the world and that he;Entropy cares for humans very much but will not interferes with them.
I bet Inflation think it’s her fault that those humans died because of her interference first then comes the Four Idiots by bringing harm through natural disasters and could never forgive herself for hurting her beloved; Entropy…is how she thought of it.

Emm, I wanna ask, now that TsukiMichi is out these days, how many days per Chappy(s) is World Reformation now?

    1. I hope that’s all she’s talking about when it comes to “sins”. Because that wasn’t a big deal, as far as I’m concerned.

In fact, Entropy might have approved of the fact that she actually stimulated their intelligence and let them grow as a civilization. There are two sides to the matter and it really depends on he chooses to see it.

      Liked by 5 people

      1. Well, maybe it’s a twist, maybe the thing she thinks Haine-san will hate her for is….when she was Izanami, she may have given birth to someone that time and because of that, now that she love him and she thinks that Haine-san wants her to bear his child first….the reason why she knows the best thing about being human is giving birth and why she knows about it too…
        Well….it’s a fine twist I think?
Hmmm. Just my random stupid thought, ignore it if it’s too or so stupidly sound.

  5. There’s something silly about Haine getting lonely after being separated for a short time. You’d think he’d appreciate the privacy that he hadn’t had in a while. Then again, I guess effectively being alone for 1,600 years might do that to a guy.

On a separate note, isn’t this world’s Ethereal technology already better than our own? Hover bikes? 20 year flashlights?! What, did a space shuttle seem too expensive to build? Humanity is only 1,600 years old too.

Actually, this Underworld civilization should predate Ethereal technology-or rather, they were among the first humans-and they could still build a long-lasting monument like this one. Well, I guess we can thank Izanami-or rather obviously, Inflation-chan-for that.

  6. ..so her sin is to create Dark God Country…. make the others Gods notice them, destroy it and make the citizens suffer?
if Izanami or the founder of that country is Stalker Goddess… what she doing is just to spread her beloved achievement… and for them not forget her beloved one who create that world. who wants to see her loved one got forgotten and just labelled as Evil just because he’s “Dark” and don’t want to rule humans…
its not a sin… its just that the other gods is literally shithead…..

  7. Thanks for the chapters Reigokai! (●ω<)

Well, I guess its obvious that this Izanami girl was Inflation-chan. Or, at the very least, a girl to whom she gave her providence. In any case, these four gods are assholes.
And note how there's only 4 evil gods mentioned there.

Now, as for who the shadow is… I gues that if Izanami was an actual human who got Inflation-chan's Providence, then it's her. If she was actually Inflation-chan in human form, then the shadow may have been one of the most fervent followers, as I doubt Inflation-chan would have had children with anyone buy Entropy. In any case, I wonder if Entropy will try to turn the shadow back to human… and if Izanami-chan will become the lover who will officially turn the group into a Harem ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

Last, what could be Inflation-chan' sin? I really hope it's just something like she meddled too much and caused the very first civilization to be destroyed and thousand of humans to be killed (in her eyes, at least). But it may be something else and that worries me…
As the last side note, it was kindda adorable to see Haine thinking he would collapse from loneliness. And if one thinks about it, it's natural for him to feel that way. He was imprisoned and completely isolated for 1600 years. Though he may not have mind that much after getting out, when he went to the surface, he was blessed with a caring family, upon leave to the city, he fount two devoted -though maybe too meddlesome and needy, lovers

    1. I wonder how Haine feels about this.

The only equivalent I can think of is suddenly finding out that, not only do you have children that are super attached to you, but some other adults came by and violently killed them before you knew about them.

I’m hoping that Entropy shows some of his godly side and gets really angry from this.

      Liked by 2 people

  8. Oh wow, I was expecting the fake Entropy to be a god scammer in the community or something. I didn’t expect the community to worship the actual Entropy and the survivor “became Entropy” only because he somehow knew that the actual god had a hands-off policy.

  9. Looks like the ethereal really is the karma for the four gods. When a country make them jealous, they just need to make their idiot followers to destroy the said country with random reason. But, when ethereal was found almost every countries use it and start to forget the gods. So, they can’t use the ‘destroy all thingy that make gods envy by idiot followers’ plan like before because there’s more people who use ethereal than the idiot followers they can order.

  10. I bet she was the one that wanted him sealed back then because she was jealous of the attention he was giving humans. And that she found the way to create monsters which the others gods used after that. Which is why she said that she couldn’t win against Karen. She knows he likes humans more than her.
My guess is that one of the other gods will tell him that after he becomes suspicious about inflation.

      8. Well if we’re a comedic duo, clearly it’s going to be one of us retorting to the other acting as if they’re in the wrong genre.

Either that or the classic Tsukkomi-Boke setup with one person having a monopoly on Common Sense.

      9. When I think of a famous comedy duo, I can only think of Abbott and Costello, the 1’s who started the “Who’s on First?” comedy sketch, which started a variety of this. I am reading the “Nidoume no Jinsei wo Isekai de ” which is doing the Tsukkomi-Boke setup but instead of paper fan the MC uses the iron claw on the girl. When she says something stupid. Or the Arifureta the MC uses on the Dragon girl.

        …Okay.

But only if I’m allowed to have a violent outburst for a story spoiler at some point in the story. And possibly completely destroying my menace after a bunch of buildup by laughing at my own sudden lame pun during the climax.

Incidentally, Psychronia was a made-up word I came up with for a medical condition that people got when science found a way to turn them into seers and oracles. Regular unwanted revelations of random new knowledge gradually increased strain on the brain while making them smarter. You don’t have to use it or anything, and I’m not sure if it’s even linguistically accurate.

You must take this role, sir.
        I insist.

      12. OwMiGawd! That is a PERFECT NO.2 setting for our Psychronia ~!! KYAH ~!!

Yeah! If you want it that way Psychronia, then Mack the Assistant(or different name?) is best by your side! But we’ll have to see if mack want that role or not.

By the way, Reigokai-san is the Elven KING!
Now that, WE can get by! It’s the PERFECT NO.1 for Reigokai-san!! ><

      13. YES.

Also, I’ve posted another chapter and one more incoming.

Thank you Reigokai for letting me promote this.

Now, I’m gonna drop dead with blaring white eyes and tongue sticking out.

      14. For you Psychronia… I honestly think that you as a villain is really appropriate. Maybe not the evil kinda villain but more like misunderstood kinda villain where you are just too smart and advanced for the age you are born in. And because you got pushed too far and tragedies kept happening around you, you became a villain who swears to rid the world of its ugliness.

        Just suits you I guess.

      15. Hey nice concept there Orca-san, btw for my appearance… I am a brown grizzly bear with some streaks of dark-ish pink on the fur, and as for the size… I’m more on the little side of the grizzly’s spectrum. Basically I am way smaller than an ordinary grizzly.

I’ve taken a liking for your concept and idea of using “these” dwellers of the internet names. (These because of this specific website that made us gather together, and of course that website is Reigokai-sama’s.) do you mind if I use your idea on my novel too? I want to use you guys’ names for some of the upcoming “pets” on my novel! Chapter 2 is 80% done btw!

      16. For me I am curious guy. When someone post something or say something on TV I immediately look it up. Back a few years ago when I was reading online vols. (before they were taking by YenPress) almost everyday I was looking up words I did not know. But now I pretty much I don’t do much now.

      17. Well, it’s a good attitude to have but too much, isn’t much so too. I was the same; curious guy last time actually but some infos are just not much to have at times, until my families and friends would said “there no need for you to know” when I was a kid from then on, I stop getting curious about everything and didn’t bother to care anymore. Haha. Yeah I can’t laugh at you when I was like that last time but It’s still funny to see though 😛

      18. People around me say that I am smart because I know things they do not. Sort like the time in high school the teacher was doing this basic game of questionnaire or something. He ask “How is the name of left side of the boat?”. I said, “Port”. Which I learn port and starboard from the movie “Lethal Weapon 4”. Then there was the show “Who wants to be a Millionaire”. The question was “What is the name of large group of penguins?”, he had 4 answers. I pick “Rookery” and it was right, which I learn from watching the movie “Pebble and the Penguin”.

      19. Hah! You can say that again.
How great to be them; Ignorance is Bliss.
When our curious is strong, it’s hard to resist that feeling we carry without knowing what the heck is that thing were curious about. I know that feel, and it hurts not to know at all.

      20. Well am not curious as I was back then. The only time I look up something would be a word but it rarely happens now. But did look up something while listen to interview on anime Blu-ray. They mention that they enjoyed playing a game called “The Secret of Mana” an Super NES RPG. It reminded of the time the 1st RPG I played and I got beaten badly in it.

      21. Yeah he has low power level then when he is in a pinch he will go all Super Sayian but the power came from the Beetles (humanities enemies) and is trying to keep it a secret. Since who knows what the higher ups would do if they found out about this. I can only guess since my knowledge of the series comes from the anime. Only 1 vol. was translated and 2 chapters of the manga was well.

      22. I grew up with curiosity. Always asking questions and annoying people that way.

I still occasionally tap into that to ask my professors things for participation points, but it’s mostly gone now because I realize that awareness is super cynical.

Now, that desire to learn manifests as a tendency to try to break things conceptually as much as possible.

      23. Ah ha ha! Exactly the point. I never said Louis San Davis was a famous enough person to be known on the internet, or if he was even real.

My entire point was that you can’t connect one person with another potentially extremely obscure one just because they’re the same species.

…But incidentally, that’s the name of one of my classmates in..I think it was middle school? Might have been high school.

      24. I had a feeling it might have been a classmate after I could not look it. The when made your point, it reminded of 1 episode “White Collar” when the Mozzie said “A New Yorker who does not take the subway is not a New Yorker you can trust “.
Neal Caffrey (ex-con) says, “I don’t take the subway.”
        Mozzie, “Precisely.”

      26. Delivery? What are you talking about? The bear god said that he will forbid Reigokai-sama to publish his translation for 2 weeks, so that means you guys can’t read any of Reigokai-sama’s translation for 2 weeks long.

Oops! Just forget I said that!

      27. I had bad experience with FedEx when I bought just 1 book. Instead of putting in my apartment mail box they just try to deliver to again later, but on those days I am at work and I had to go to 1 of their stations to get the book. I usually try to avoid FedEx.

      28. Y’know I was wondering what kind of discussions are happening here when you asked if I was ignoring Orca’s novel on purpose… but when I came here and read it… THIS?! THIS IS WHAT GREETED ME?! Oi Namer! You! A beautiful Elf is going to RIDE you in Orca’s story! Why did you reject that?! And why me?! I am a bear! And you are a fricking tiger! No matter if I’m the one riding you or you are the one who is riding me it just does not work! Plus if we are going to play bite… even if it sounds nice… a bear can’t play bite you know? Just imagine a bear riding a tiger… an image pops up in my head and it just looks silly, though I admit kinda cute too…

      29. …..hah(?.?) It’s a great discussion though~?

Hey! I would’ve been completely ok with it if the “RIDE” he meant is what I think it is, but I’m sure it’s just a RIDE anyway!
        .
        .
        .
        Hmmm….
You?…RIDE me…? That sounds lewd for some reasons…
        Nah! I guess it’s just a NORMAL ride anyway…

Right?! That’s what I want to ‘do’ with you……*blush*

      30. The normal RIDE! not that kinda RIDE! So get your mind out of the gutter will you? No need to further sully our mind with that kind of… pink and sweet and… wait what am I talking about again? Oh yeah! Se— gahaak! *got hit on the back of the neck*

  12. Light Church Rumor #10: Kuromiya Haine is compelled to find a woman if he doesn’t have one by his side for more than 20 minutes.

Light Church Rumor #11: Goddess Inflation-sama herself blessed Kuromiya Haine with the ability to attract all Light affinity women.

      1. That sounds right. But it also kind of odd since the God’s decided to work together to destroy 1 country and it sounds like that they were (maybe) worship as equals in that country. Even it was said in that the country. The only I can think of perhaps the Light Godess was who the 1 being worship in that country and she ask or order for those 4 God’s for help with the disasters to pay back what they owned her for sealing up the Dark God.

      2. It would be weird if it’s true.
Her sin was that she used the human’s to worship Entrophy. Not for destroying the humans. I still think the other gods did that to go against Entrophy.

        Liked by 1 person

      3. But, having the other Gods working together would go against what they want. The Fire and Water are trying to get more worshipers at the cost of sacrificing other humans. The Water God try to steal other worshipers from other Gods. If it is not the Light Goddess then might be another being maybe manipulated the other Gods to do this, sort of out smart them for their own benefit. For me I thought the sin would be like she gave the other Gods the means to create monsters. Sort like the “Light of Creation” from the bible. And this monsters killed so many of these people and that the only 1 who has not made a monster is the Light Goddess, which I kind of wonder why? Since it sounds like she was back then as a god and she is more humane right now.

      4. My last idea would be that from your idea that the Light Goddess created the leader of the Entrophy group so they could worship Entrophy. But this leader had other plans he used the people to build the city but gave a specific design to be use as special circle (like Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood). Then he lure the 4 Gods into attack the people in for them to make human sacrifices in order to create a ritual for him to become the God of Darkness.

      5. I think the barbarians are just other non-Entropy faction humans that the other gods sucked at uplifting because they refused to be as personal about it as Inflation.

        My read on it was:
        Locusts = Wind
        Plague = Water
        Acid Rain = Fire
        Desertification = Earth

        Liked by 1 person

      6. That sounds logical. But the earth… turns to desert after acid rain right? Mother earth isn’t as evil as the others. She just don’t want to choose sides

      7. That would make sense, considering that Mantle’s policy seems to be “take it slow and steady while listening to everyone’s points”.

It would be nice if she’s much more civil with Entropy. Though I’d like to point out that this means Entropy is on good terms with all the goddesses(unless Quasar doesn’t like him and is also female, I guess).

  14. Now, did Inflation lie when she said it was her first resurrection ? Or is her vessel actually not human and immortal. It’d be a be troublesome to replace the newborn of the previous church head tho.
